Description
St George's Cathedral is a neo-Gothic brick building erected in 1887 to the design of the Sydney architect Edmund Blacket. Instead of the spire originally planned, the church has a crenellated clock tower built in 1902 in memory of Queen Victoria, who had died in the previous year. At the corner of Pier Street and St George's Terrace is the Deanery (1859).

St George's Terrace ends at the intersection with Victoria Avenue, from which Adelaide Terrace continues east to the Causeway spanning the Swan River by way of Heirisson Island to the Victoria Park district.
