Pensacola - Historic Pensacola Village
The Historic Pensacola Village is a collection of nine 19th century homes and buildings, now run as museums. Tours of the area leave from the Tivoli House (205 East Zarazoga) and take in the following sites and others:
Julee Cottage: built around 1805, was the former home of Julee Panton, a free Black woman. It features exhibits detailing Black history in the area.
Lavalle House: an 1805 French Creole home with period furnishings.
Museum of Commerce: contains a reconstruction of the late 19th and early 20th century Pensacola streetscape. There is a print shop, leather and harness shop, wooden sidewalks and wagons, etc.
Museum of Industry: located in a turn of the century warehouse, this museum traces the history of Pensacola's different industrial booms, notably in lumber, brick making and forestry.
Other destinations within the Village include the, the Dorr House, the Barkley House, and Quina House.
