McKonkey's Ferry Inn Description
McKonkey's Ferry Inn was an eighteenth-century inn and tavern constructed on the property of Samuel McConkey and operated by James Brown. The inn was a guard post during the Continental Army's encampment in Bucks County in December, 1776. This is where Washington and his aides ate their Christmas dinner prior to the historic crossing.
