Ohiopyle Attractions

Ohiopyle was once a hunting area for the Delaware, Shawnee and Iroquois Indians. The falls within Ohiopyle State Park can be viewed from overlook platforms. Ohiopyle is well-known as a starting point for white-water rafting.
Bear Run Nature Reserve
The wild mountain land surrounding Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater includes the Bear Run Nature Reserve with over 5,000 acres. More than 20 miles of marked trails are available for hiking, nature study, backpack camping, and cross country skiing.
Fallingwater Museum
Fallingwater was a weekend house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1936 for the family of Pittsburgh department store owner Edgar J. Kaufmann. Constructed of reinforced concrete and native stone, the house was designed to blend into the natural mountainous surroundings.
