Easton was a focal point during the Revolutionary War and was home to George Taylor, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. It became one of America's earliest industrial centers due to its location at the meeting point of the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers, Morris Canal and five major railroads.
This 75 foot tall obelisk is topped by what is locally called the "The Bugler." It was designed to honor all of the armed forces who fought in the Civil War, and was dedicated to local veterans in 1900.
The Weller Health Education Center offers multimedia classrooms with exhibits that provide experiences in general health and character education, drug abuse prevention, growth, development, nutrition and fitness.
