Bedford Attractions

Named in honor of the Duke of Bedford, it was first settled in 1751 by Robert Ray. Several historic buildings in Bedford have been preserved, dating back to 1794.
Fort Bedford Museum
The Fort Bedford Museum features local artifacts and is located on the site of the original Fort Bedford, built in 1758. Items on display include Native American artifacts, flintlock rifles, household items, clothing, and antique hand tools.
Old Bedford Village
The buildings within Old Bedford Village are reproductions from 1750 to 1850. These buildings include a one-room schoolhouse, and log cabins.

Visitors to Old Bedford will enjoy military and civilian re-enactment's, colonial crafts, exhibits and old-fashioned Christmas celebrations.
