Peliatan - Agung Rai

The picture gallery of Agung Rai is the largest of its kind on Bali.

Agung Rai, a scion of a princely family, has been for many years a committed collector and patron of Balinese art. He has given many Balinese artists the opportunity of showing their work to a wider public and making a livelihood by selling them; and he invests the profit from works sold in the showroom attached to the gallery in the purchase of further works, thus building up his collection to its present considerable size.
