Pápa - Reformed Church Historical Museum
(Local Name: Református Egyháztörténeti Múzeum) The Református Egyháztörténeti Múzeum is housed in the old Reformed Church (1783-84), a simple building in the 18th C plait style in the courtyard of the Reformed Presbytery. The Edict of Tolerance issued by Emperor Joseph III allowed the building of Protestant churches only if they had no tower and were within an enclosed courtyard. Note the Rococo pulpit in the galleried interior.
