Quinta do Anjo

At Quinta do Anjo, 3km/2mi west of Palmela, there are tombs which were carved out of the rock about 5,000 years ago, and which served as burial chambers until the Middle Ages. These are reached by turning left in the center of Quinta do Anjo, coming from Palmela, and turning left again at the end of the houses into a track across the fields.
