Palermo - Porta Felice
The Porta Felice in Palermo, a gateway the construction of which was begun in 1582 by the viceroy M Collona and was named after his wife Felice Orsini, marks the end of the Cassarò and is the counterpart of the Porta Nuova, near the Norman Palace. It was altered during the Baroque period. Here is the beginning of the Foro Italico shoreline walk, with a fine panoramic view.
