Pak Chong
Pak Chong, a small town situated on the edge of the Khao Yai national park, is located approximately 200 km (124 mi.) north-east of Bangkok. It lies at the foot of a range of mountains separating the Menam Plain from the Khorat Plateau
It is worth visiting the daily market where local people sell their wares. About 15 km (9 mi.) east of Pak Chong, close to Highway 2, the beautiful Lam Takhong reservoir nestles in a wide valley. It supplies water to the population of Bangkok, as well as to the local region.
By car: from Bangkok Highway 1 to Saraburi, then Highway 2.
By rail: on the Bangkok-Nakhon Ratchasima line.
By bus: from Bangkok Northern Bus Terminal (approximately four hours).
