Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is open year-round. The highest visitation is during the summer season. During the winter months, Glen Canyon's visitor centers and Lake Powell's marinas have reduced services.

Carl Hayden Visitor Center

There is still a 15 mile section of Glen Canyon downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam. It stretches from the dam down to Lees Ferry.
