Oxford - Sheldonian Theatre
In Cattle Street, a short distance to the north of Radcliffe Square, is the Sheldonian Theatre, Sir Christoper Wren's second major building, built in 1664-69, although its windows have been altered since then. The theater is used on the occasion of the annual Commemoration or Encaenia in the middle of June, when benefactors of the university are honored and honorary degrees and prizes are conferred.
