Ostend Leisure Complex, originally dating from 1745 and re-opened in 1953 after destruction in the Second World War. The first floor is decorated with frescoes by Paul Delvaux.
The road along the beach promenade continues on the 10m/33ft-high and 30m/98ft-wide Zeedijk which extends as far as the dunes near Westende, 15km/9.5miles. Here can be seen the royal residence, the spa complex and the Wellington racecourse.
