The Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre in Osoyoos educates visitors about this endangered desert area. On site is a reconstructed Okanagan traditional village, with two traditional pithouses, a tule mat teepee, and a sweathouse. The Okanagan First Nations lived in this region for thousands of years. There are self guided trails through this desert setting. The cultural center also offers tours, programs and interactive displays.
