Bislett international light athletics festival.

This annual week-long music festival takes place in mid-October and includes daily events ranging from operas, to orchestral and chamber concerts to recitals. At least 13 musical institutions collaborate to organize the festival every year.

An international competition for new orchestral works is also part of the festival, and draws highly-acclaimed composers and musicians from all over the world.

Festival of Chamber Music is held in Oslo in August.

This annual month-long festival includes dozens of concerts featuring chamber music. Internationally-acclaimed musicians from throughout Norway and the rest of the world are invited to play in the performances, which take place in the Akershus Castle and Fortress.

The September Marathon in Oslo is the biggest marathon race in Norway. It takes place along the harbor.
