Osa Peninsula & Dulce Gulf - Tiskita Jungle Lodge

 
Situated at Punta Banco, Tiskita Jungle Lodge is a private biological reserve and experimental fruit farm. Covering a total of 160ha/395ac, 100ha/247ac of the grounds are virgin rainforest. The coastal area of the reserve features swimming beaches and tide pools.

Also within the reserve is an orchard featuring over 100 varieties of tropical fruits from around the world. Rivers and waterfalls suitable for swimming can be found on the reserve's hiking trails, where a large variety of fauna can be spotted. Feather worms, chitons, bristle and other types of marine life can be spotted in the tide pools.

Apart from monkeys, sloths and other mammals, at least 300 bird species have been recorded in the reserve. Fruit-eating birds such as the toucan and trogon are common. Visitors enjoy the fruits as well. The reserve helps support medical care in nearby villages, as well as local conservation projects. Accommodation is in rustic cabins with Pacific Ocean views.
