Depoe Bay (pop. 1,175) is located on the Pacific coast. The area offers some of the best whale watching on the Oregon coast. One feature of note in the town is the lava tubes which, when struck by waves, form water spouts, known as spouting horns, which blow water into the air.
Waldport, Oregon
Waldport (pop. 2,000) is located on the Pacific coast of Oregon. It is a popular fishing and outdoor recreational spot. The coastline varies from jagged rock formations to beaches. The town is close to state parks and recreation areas making it an excellent base for hiking, clamming, and crabbing.
