Ashland Attractions

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland was founded in 1935. It delivers classic and contemporary plays using Shakespeare as the inspiration.

The Pacific Northwest Museum of Natural History in Ashland contains one of the most extensive natural history displays on the West Coast with hands-on exhibits and educational demonstrations and programs.

The Schneider Museum of Art is located at the Southern University of Oregon in Ashland. It features changing exhibitions and a permanent collections of contemporary art including Pre-Columbian ceramics, medieval manuscripts and maps, European engravings from the Renaissance and Native artifacts from the nineteenth and twentieth century.

ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum features over 80 interactive science exhibits, live science performances and hands-on activities. Exhibits include pulley chairs, the Hall of Illusion, bubble-ology, and pendulum painting.
