Every year Shakespeare enthusiasts from all over the world flock to Ashland, in south-west Oregon near the California border. During the Shakespeare Festival, which lasts from February to October, the Bard's plays are performed by international stars.

Schneider Museum of Art
The Schneider Museum of Art is located at the Southern University of Oregon in Ashland. It features changing exhibitions and a permanent collections of contemporary art including Pre-Columbian ceramics, medieval manuscripts and maps, European engravings from the Renaissance and Native artifacts from the nineteenth and twentieth century.
