Zanesville is home to numerous artists and is a wonderful spot to browse galleries and shops for some unique items. The National Ceramic Museum & Heritage Center in nearby Crooksville is a good place to learn about the history of pottery, with different themes explored in five different buildings.

Here visitors will find an amazing variety of art featuring paintings by Albert Bierstadt, William Merritt Chase, George Luks, and Theodore Robinson. Of special note is a doll collection by Madame Alexander. The Zanesville Art Center also hosts a variety of national and international traveling exhibits so be sure to check to see what's coming to town.
