Although this may not be the world's most appealing title, the town of Waynesville proudly professes itself to be the "Home of the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival". In addition to this event Waynesville also has other fun cultural events and sights including the Blue Jacket Outdoor Drama with changing performances, Caesar's Creek Pioneer Village, and Caesar Creek State Park.
The historic Fort Ancient State Memorial is also nearby.

The park has numerous hiking trails through all kinds of terrain. Caesar Creek offers a beautiful beach area for swimming and is popular with families.
Also on site at Caesar Creek State Park is a nature center and children's playground area.
A visit to Caesar State Park would not be complete without a visit to the Pioneer Village. Costumed interpreters recreate the life and times of the pioneers in this recreated village. The sights, smells, and sounds truly take the visitor back to a bygone era of simpler times. The site consists of 15 historic buildings, all of which can be toured throughout.
