Urbana is located in Champaign County, about a 45 minute drive west of Columbus. The town is home to Urbana University, a small campus with a focus on liberal arts.
Cedar Bog Nature Preserve
Cedar Bog Nature Preserve near Urbana protects a wetland area, home to a wide range of plants and animals. The area is popular with bird watchers. A boardwalk runs through the bog allowing for close up viewing and easy access. The Cedar Bog Nature Preserve offers a number of interpretive events such as guided nature walks and Earth Day celebrations.
