Steubenville Attractions
The downtown area of Steubenville is distinctive for the larger than life wall murals that decorate the sides of buildings. Old Fort Steuben
Fort Steuben is a reconstruction of the historic 1786 fort built here by the First American Regiment. The current site consists of blockhouses, officers' quarters, the quartermaster and the artificer's shops, and a hospital, along with a modern Visitors Center with a museum and exhibition hall. For the complete history of the fort be sure to stop at the Visitors Center first. Also located with the Fort Steuben park is the Veterans Memorial Fountain.
