Springfield Attractions

Springfield prides itself on the outstanding arts and cultural scene found in the community. Some of the highlights include the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Museum of Art, Clark State Performing Arts Center, and the Ohio Lyric Theatre of Springfield. Springfield is also home to Wittenberg University which has a number of fine arts programs.

For those interested in history and architecture the city also has some outstanding sites, including Westcott House, created by architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
Springfield Museum of Art
The Springfield Museum of Art has been a work in progress, constantly expanding its size and collections. The museum features five galleries to display its permanent collection and two galleries for temporary exhibitions. The permanent collection of the Springfield Museum of Art is quite extensive representing a broad range of artists.

Weaver Chapel
The Weaver Chapel is located on the grounds of the Wittenburg University in Springfield. The chapel is especially noted for its stained glass windows that adorn the building. A spectacular 71 m / 212-foot tower fronts the Weaver Chapel. The tower has a variety of interesting statues including one of Martin Luther. The chapel is a fully functioning religious establishment and visitors are always welcome.
