Philo - Blue Rock Station Attractions

Blue Rock Station in Philo is an environmental project that includes buildings built largely from tires and other discarded materials. There are several buildings on this site.

One of the main concepts is the "earthship", a term coined by designer/architect Michael Reynolds. The project involves using waste materials and taking advantage of the "natural heating and cooling properties of the earth" to create a living space.
