Norwalk Attractions
Norwalk is a pleasant small city with some architectural treasures. West Main Street is home to some Classic Revival houses and the historic uptown area is also worth visiting with many of the buildings having been restored. Main Street is lined with old maple trees, planted in the first half of the 19th Century.
Firelands Historical Library
Part of the Firelands Museum, the Firelands Research Library in Norwalk contains records and documents related to the town's history. In addition to the family histories and directories, the Firelands Library also contains a large photo collection.
Firelands Museum
The Firelands Museum is housed in an old Federal-style house and is known for being the second oldest museum in Ohio. On display are Indian artifacts, glassware, antique furniture, clothing, toys, pioneering artifacts, and military items. The Firelands Museum also contains a research library with records pertaining to the local area.
