Kirtland Attractions

Kirtland is located on the scenic Chagrin River, about a 25 minute drive east of Cleveland. This small town is home to Lakeland Community College, which is the heart of the community. One of Kirtland's most famous attractions is the Kirtland Temple, the first temple of the Church of Latter Day Saints, founded by Joseph Smith Jr. Also of interest is the Holden Arboretum, known for being the largest Arboretum in the United States and home to a huge collection of native and exotic plants.
