Hamilton is located about a half hour drive south of Cincinnati. The city has three historical districts that can be discovered on a self guided walking tour. The City of Hamilton has a brochure outlining the history of the downtown area. While exploring the city take note of the numerous sculptures, a collection that is ever increasing and has led to Hamilton's recognition as "The City of Sculpture".
East of Hamilton is Paramount's Kings Island Amusement Park, a great outing for families with children.
The Butler County Historical Museum in Hamilton is housed in the 1860s, two storey, Benninghofen House. The home was donated to the Butler County Historical Society by a member of the Benninghofen family and has operated as their museum for over 50 years. It is decorated in period furnishings and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Fitton Center for Creative Arts in Hamilton focuses on contemporary art and artists. Three galleries feature temporary exhibitions by well known and up and coming contemporary artists. The center promotes itself as a family friendly environment.
The Fitton Center for Creative Arts features an annual competition called the Greater Hamilton Art Exhibit.

Lane-Hooven House is an 1863 Gothic Revival house listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The home was originally owned by Clark Lane and was later purchased by the C. Earl Hooven family for whom the house is named.

Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum in Hamilton is a naturally beautiful spot enhanced by the collection of sculptures that run throughout the landscape. The sculptures are the works of a variety of artists from the United States and around the world.
The park consists of 265 acres and overlooks the Great Miami River. At Pyramid Hill visitors will find gardens, lakes, hiking trails, picnic areas, a historic stone house, an amphitheatre and more.
