Not to be confused with the city in the San Francisco area, Fremont Ohio is known as the home of the 19th President of the United States, Rutherford B. Hayes. The city is also home to the site of Fort Stephenson that boasts of completely intact armory. The city is on the Sandusky River and the riverfront areas are pleasant places to linger.
