Cumberland - The Wilds Attractions

The Wilds, near Cumberland, is focused on the conservation of wildlife and educating the public about issues around sustainable wildlife management and environment. The organization was formerly known as The International Center for the Preservation of Wild Animals, Inc. Later, after receiving just over 9,000 acres of land donated from a coal company the organization became The Wilds. This land was essentially transformed into a wildlife preserve with fences erected and an animal management facility built. Wildlife was eventually introduced and The Wilds was created.
