Covington Attractions
In Covington (Kentucky) on the far side of the Ohio River is the district of Main Strasse, showing the influence of German immigrants. A carillon in the bell tower plays the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" tune. Access to Covington is by way of the Roebling Suspension Bridge, built by the constructors of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York.
Stillwater Prairie Reserve
The Stillwater Prairie Reserve near Covington is a 380 acre natural area that encompasses river banks, ponds, prairie fields, wetlands with boardwalks, woodlands, hills, meadows, hiking trails, observation platforms and picnic sites. The Stillwater Prairie Reserve is a nice area to spend a relaxing afternoon walking through the various landscapes.
