Athens County Historical Society Museum
The Athens County Historical Society Museum in Athens focuses on local history and maintains a collection of more than 40,000 items. Changing exhibitions are presented throughout the year, along with permanent displays. The Athens County Historical Society also does outreach, bringing programs and tours to local schools

Dairy Barn Cultural Arts Center
This beautifully restored 1914 Dairy Barn in Athens is now home to the Dairy Barn Arts Center, with a 6500 square-foot gallery. The Dairy Barn hosts various exhibits, including the well known Quilt National and Bead International. The center also offers classes and an onsite gift shop. Check in advance to find out what is going on.
