Monte Albán - Ball Court

(Local Name: Juego de Pelota) The Juego de Pelota (ball court), an area used for the ball game, can be found immediately to the left of the car park, i.e. on the east side of the Gran Plaza. Like all ball courts found in and around Oaxaca the stone rings, which would have served as "goals", were missing here. This area was last built over during phase III b.
