Nyeri - Wajee Nature Park

Wajee Nature Park is located south of Nyeri. It is a nature sanctuary and campsite with 10 ha of forest. Wajee Nature Park is perfect for bird lovers as it is home to many rare forest birds. The rare Hinde's Babbler has been sighted in the park along with over 110 other recorded species of birds. Bird watching is enjoyed amongst flowering shrubbery.

Nature trails and traditional Kikuyu entertainment are available. Guided nature and bird walks can be arranged. The campsite consists of a family home built in 1941, huts and a camping ground.
