Nuremberg - Town Walls

Nürnberg has preserved most of its circuit of walls (14th-15th c., strengthened in 16th-17th c.), with their numerous gates and towers.

The finest stretch of walls is on the west side of the town, between the massive Spittlertor and the former Maxtor. The best view of the walls, the old town and the Burg is from the Fürther Tor.
