Description
The arcaded facade of the Palazzo looks out on to the cathedral of Santi Nicola e Corrado, which stands in a dominating position at the top of a broad flight of steps on the other side of the road. Completed in 1770 but designated a diocesan church only since 1884 this church, the main one in the town, is distinguished by its magnificent twin-towered front. The splendid doorway, by G. F. Pirrone (1982), depicts the life of San Corrado.

The triple-aisled interior is dominated by a large crossing cupola; the silver San Francesco (on right) and Santissimo Salvatore (opposite) urn containing the remains of the town's patron saint, San Corrado Confalonieri, is preserved in the chapel in the right transept.
