Sheffield Island Lighthouse and Nature Trail Description
The Sheffield Island Lighthouse was activated in 1868 and was in operation until 1902. The lighthouse and grounds are now maintained as a museum and nature preserve.

Visitors to Sheffield Island must travel by ferry and then tours of the lighthouse, including the ten rooms filled with period furniture, provide a glimpse of life for the lightkeepers family.
