Thásos - Sanctuaries of Poseidon (Dionysos)
In the northern part of the ancient city are sanctuaries of Poseidon and Dionysos (both fourth century B.C.), a theater (third-second century B.C.), a sanctuary devoted to foreign divinities and, at the northern tip of the city, a sanctuary of the Patrooi Theoi (sixth century B.C.). Farther north, in the sea, can be seen remains of the breakwater of the ancient commercial harbor.
