Loenvatn

From Loen a narrow road (14km/9mi) runs along the east side of the beautiful Loenvatn (alt. 43m/140ft; area 10.2sq.km/4sq.mi; greatest depth 193m/635ft) by way of the Bødal tourist center to Kjenndal, below the north side of the Nonsnibba (1,823m/5,981ft). Above the western shore of the Loenvatn rises the snow-capped peak of the Ramnefjell or Ravnefjell (2,003m/6,570ft), a northern outlier of the extensive snowfields of the Jostedalsbre. To the east of Kjenndal rises the Lodalskappa.
