the Cistercians, follows a signposted route. In the court of honor opposite the entrance is a 13th C. watermill, now used as a restaurant, which is surrounded by 18th C. buildings among which on the right stands the monastery palace. Grouped around the large cloister, built in the 14th C. and restored in the 16th, are the Chapter House, with the dormitory of the monks over it, and in the south a thermal room, refectory and a kitchen. On the west are the dormitories of the lay brothers. The restored gallery of the cloister is now a lapidarium; among the remains can be seen the grave of Gobert d'Aspermont who died in 1263. The 13th C. monastery church follows the French model with the exception of the semi-circular apse which in Cistercian churches is usually straight, and the round window in the roof.
