Description
(Local Name: Latijnse School) On the south side of Grote Kerk or St Stevenskerk stands the Latin School (Latijnse School), built by the city architect Herman van Herengraves in 1544-45. The striking facade has recessed Gothic trefoil arches and Renaissance friezes. Between the first-floor windows are figures of the 12 Apostles and the text of the Ten Commandments.
