Coco Beach Description
(Local Name: Playa del Coco) Found at the northern end of the Nicoya Peninsula, Coco Beach is a popular destination. The attractive beach is set between rocky headlands and is popular with scuba divers. The beach is 1.6km/1mi long with dark sand and strong waves, hence a good spot for surfing as well. Coco beach is popular with Costa Ricans on the weekends, and the nightlife here is more exciting than in other beach areas.
