Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens are located near Ponteland. Located in 30 acres of parkland are a house, completed in 1815, a castle from the 14th C and a ruined mansion.

Derwentcote was the center of the British steel industry in the 18th C. The steel furnace on display here is the earliest and most complete, authentic steel making furnace to have survived from the era.

Segedunum Roman Fort, Baths & Museum combines the excavated remains of the fort with hands-on museum displays to show what life was like in Roman Britain. The Roman bath-house is the only one of its kind in the country. It is a full sized reconstruction and is based on original remains discovered at Chesters Roman Fort in the central sector of Hadrian's Wall.

Cherryburn is a farmhouse that was the birthplace of Thomas Bewick in 1753. Berwick is recognized as Northumberland's greatest artist, wood engraver and naturalist. An exhibition on his life includes much of his art and wood engravings.
