Newark - Dawes Arboretum

Dawes Arboretum is one of the highlights of Newark. The garden maintains a vast array of plants, with a particular emphasis on native species. The Arboretum is spread over 1,700 acres with a variety of themes. From spring until fall there is always something in bloom and the gardens are ever changing.

Within Dawes Arboretum is a Japanese Garden, an outlook tower, a Bonsai collection, and wetland areas with boardwalks to name just some of the attractions.
