Original American Kazoo Company, Eden, New York

The Original American Kazoo Company began in 1916 and offers a special area to view the production process. The West African origins and modern production of this musical toy are on display. Displays include wooden kazoos, antique kazoo instruments, silver and gold kazoos.

Williamsville, New York

Jonas Williams built a mill along Ellicott Creek in 1804. The businesses then expanded to include grist mills, a sawmill, a tannery, dams, and raceways to power the mills. He owned and operated so much that it became known as Williams Mills and then Williamsville.

This restored 1811 water-powered mill features historical exhibits and is a fully operational cider mill and press.

Amherst, New York

Amherst Museum

Amherst Museum includes 12 restored 19th century buildings including homes, churches, and one-room schoolhouses. Exhibits feature costumes, antique radios, a pioneer kitchen, agriculture, a recreated 1880s Main Street and decorative arts.

Lackawanna, New York

Lackawanna has the second oldest basilica in the United States. Our Lady of Victory Basilica and National Shrine was built in 1921 and features ornate altars, statues and a grotto shrine.

Our Lady of Victory National Shrine

Our Lady of Victory Basilica was consecrated in 1926, after five years of construction. It is a blend of architectural styles. Life-size statues depict the stations of the cross, thousands of angels are found painted throughout the basilica and the high altar is made from red marble.

Orchard Park, New York

Orchard Park was founded by the Quakers in the early 1800s. It is now home to the Buffalo Bills at the Ralph Wilson Stadium. Chestnut Ridge Park offers 1,500 acres for hiking and picnicking, and tobogganing in winter.

Pedaling History Bicycle Museum

Antiques, classic and modern bikes are on display at the Pedaling History Bicycle Museum with over 300 bicycles featured. The history of the innovation, invention and development of the bicycle is included in the exhibits.
