Shirley Attractions
Located on Long Island, Shirley is home to the Wetheim National Wildlife Refuge headquarters.
The Long Island National Wildlife Refuge Complex consists of eight different refuges, with five having limited access. The refuges are home to diverse wildlife and all areas are suitable for nature study, photography, hiking, and birding.
This 125-acre park and museum features historic documents and items of Col. William "Tangier" Smith, first Chief Justice of New York State. The three-story manor house displays furnishings from the early 1800s and paintings from the estate.
