Montauk Attractions

Montauk is located along the south shore of eastern Long Island. Fishing is very popular along the banks of Montauk. Various recreational activities are available in Hither Hill State Park and Montauk Point State Park.

Montauk Point Lighthouse Museum

Built in 1796, Montauk Point Lighthouse is one of the oldest active lighthouses in the United States. Maritime history exhibits are available at the museum housed in the 1860 Keepers house.

Second House Museum

Second House was built in 1797 and is the oldest building in Montauk. It houses artifacts and a one-room school.
