Fort William Henry was a British fort, built between 1755 and 1757. The replica that stands today has barracks, stockades, dungeons and fort artifacts. A guided tour offers cannon and musket firing demonstrations, a bomb toss and musket ball molding.
The battlefield played a role in the French and Indian War (1755-1763) and the American Revolution (1775-1783). The Fort George ruins can be found here as well as an American Indian monument and a memorial to Jesuit missionary, Father Jogues.
