The Columbia County Museum is housed in a building that was originally built as a Masonic Temple in 1916. The museum features a regional art gallery, historical artifacts and a genealogical library.

The farmhouse was built in 1737 and has been restored to represent 18th-century rural Dutch farm life. The one-room schoolhouse was built in 1850 and has been restored to its 1920s appearance.
This land was purchased by Martin Van Buren, the 8th President of the United States, during his Presidency. The mansion dates from 1797 and was restored to the Italianate style.
