Granville Attractions
Granville has the only red slate quarry that began in 1850. It is also a big agricultural area.
The Pember Museum of Natural History is a Victorian era museum established in 1909. Exhibits include birds, mammals, rocks, shells, eggs, and other related natural history items. The Pember Nature Preserve has hiking trails that are open year-round.
Slate Valley Museum is a restored historic 19th century barn featuring exhibits of historic artifacts from the area's slate quarries and mills. A quarry shanty, complete with all the machinery and tools used in traditional slate quarrying are on display.
